Weekly high/low sweep
ICT · Timeframe: H1 / H4 · Sessions: Monday to Wednesday
Price takes out the previous week's extreme, hunts stops and returns inside its range.
How it works
The previous week's high and low (PWH/PWL) hold a lot of liquidity. In ICT's weekly profiles, the week's high or low is often formed early in the week by sweeping those levels before the real move. It is a turtle soup on a weekly scale.
Step-by-step rules
- Mark PWH and PWL.
- Between Monday and Wednesday, wait for an H1 candle that trades beyond the level and closes back inside.
- Entry at the close; stop at the sweep wick.
- Target: 2R or the equilibrium of the previous week's range.
How Marketalyx tests it
Detector (H1): sweep of PWH/PWL with a close back inside between Monday and Wednesday (first time per week and side); stop at the wick; 2R target.
