ICT 2022 model (Sweep + MSS + FVG)
ICT · Timeframe: H1 / M15 / M5 · Sessions: Killzones
Liquidity sweep, market structure shift with displacement, and entry in the resulting FVG.
How it works
ICT's most widely shared model (2022 mentorship): 1) price takes liquidity (sweeps a relevant low); 2) it reacts with a strong displacement that breaks the last swing high (Market Structure Shift); 3) that displacement leaves an FVG; 4) you enter on the retracement into the FVG with the stop below the sweep low, targeting the opposite liquidity.
Step-by-step rules
- Wait for a sweep of a relevant swing low/high.
- Confirm the MSS: a close above the last swing high with displacement.
- Identify the displacement FVG.
- Limit entry at the FVG; stop beyond the sweep.
- Target: opposite liquidity or 2R.
How Marketalyx tests it
Detector (H1): sweep of the 20-candle low (high), MSS within ≤8 candles breaking the last swing and an FVG in the impulse; limit entry at the FVG; stop at the sweep extreme; 2R target.
